The Ultimo

I stayed at the Ulitimo with my 3 teenagers for a weekend. It was a quiet hotel in a good location within walking distance of everything Chinatown has to offer & the tram & train station. It is in a well-lit area, and we felt safe walking back at night. The beds were comfy, the rooms were very clean & the staff were accommodating & friendly. I had my hair done at the hairdressers next door, and they did a really great job for a good price! There is a 7-Eleven on the corner & a small shopping centre across the street with plenty of quick & tasty eating options.

Lovely, well-sized room with a cosy vibe in neutral tones and a nice view over the intersection of Ultimo Road and Quay Street and wonderfully large windows that open. The room and bathroom were very clean and amenities were good (tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer, body wash, moisturiser, shampoo and conditioner, iron and ironing board, table and chairs). The staff were all very friendly and helpful and everyone acknowledged our wedding anniversary which was lovely! An additionally welcoming touch was the note, bag of Lindor balls and two coffee vouchers that were in our room on arrival. We love the location of The Ultimo: just a short walk from Central Station, close to the Light Rail and a straightforward walk to Circular Quay, it's pretty hard to beat.

The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The staff were super friendly and accommodating with a super smooth check-in and check-out process. The location is super convenient and well-placed for evening adventures around Chinatown. I did pay for parking at the Thomas St Wilson lot which was quite convenient too.

The location is excellent - very close to Central Station and to light rail. The hotel is comfortable with good aircon for heating and cooling. The Paddy's Market centre is over the road. Chinatown is very close and Darling Harbour a short walk away. Staff were very helpful. The hotel offers a large reduction per day in parking at a nearby Wilson parking station.

Really helpful and friendly staff, which is always a plus on a few seriously jet-lagged days in a largely unfamiliar city. Located very close to Central station was really handy but for a pretty healthy 60+ year old it was within comfortable walking distance of all the central sites, museums and galleries. Also spoilt for choice with places to eat, from Market City over the road with a range of good breakfast options, to countless restaurants for later.
